JDM Trendsetter
I had a chance to meet up with a friend and his electric blue RX8. It was quite a moment to experience rotary power with a proper manual gearbox! With a redline of 9000RPM, this thing needs to be worked hard to extract maximum torque out of it. Thankfully, this motor begs to be revved.
Enjoy the photos below!
I was greeted with triple amber Defi gauges once settled in the car.
CE28 with Greddy 6/4 combination. Maybe adding some Neovas AD08 to complete the JDM package? =D
This machine certainly keeps adrenaline pumping
Owner was complaining about the horrendous mileage. 250km per tank with spirited driving!
It was the irreplaceable 7 in the past. Will be be seeing a proper 9 in the near future?
The interior was well spaced out.
Dials were intuitive and easy to handle.
Impressive quality for a 5 year old car.
Even though we know that its tough to be traveling at legal speeds,
safety measures have to be kept in place to execute short bursts of swift clockwise RPM needle action.
Practicality was never a problem
We felt extremely comfortable in the passenger seat,
knowing that we have some serious stopping power whenever we needed it.
This could be useful for freeway runs up North
even this could minimize drag and keep it streamlined.
The blue theme was ever-present,

His mouth had to be huge to feed in all-important air into the internals,
because the owner knows that this car is all show and all go.
But sometimes, we couldn't fault him for spending a longer time outside the car,
especially when the owner put in countless hours to perfect the aesthetics.
The seal of approval
Tarmac scraper?
We cant ignore our roots,
although we have many other aftermarket parts fitted on the car.
I'll leave you guys with this shot. Hungry for JDM action? I bet you are.
I would like to thank Gerard for letting me have a cozy session with his baby =)
