Melaka, Dec 2010
Went up north for a day long relaxing cruise to Malacca.
Perfect weather with MFD display readout showing 28 degrees.
Car felt much more responsive after a 550km carbon clearing session.
Arrived at Ayer Keroh after 180km of pure driving pleasure.
Changed to rear yellow license plate one day before setting off.
Arrived at Jonker St for Asam Laksa and Durian Cendol.
Was quite lucky to find a nice parking spot.
First time in Melaka without having to dodge the sweltering heat.
Sparkling clean Beemer finding a cool spot for some well deserved rest.
Shy.
LTM tuned Evo blends in really well with the colourful surroundings.
Monster X6 strutting its stuff.

CRZ Type R?
Yup. Its about time Honda does something exciting after they stopped production of the highly rated FD2R. Ignore the hybrid powerplant, drop in a K20 and call it a day!

1200 in a Lotus?
Ok that's quite scary.
Chevy V8, Garrett twin snails, Ford gearbox.
Notice the backfire at 9:35min.
Wonderful.

Preventing potential asthma attacks
Christmas came early! Been eying this product for awhile now.
Introducing the Forge Twintake, tightly sealed in a 7kg (volumetric weight) box.
Took 5 business days to arrive without any hiccups. Was surprised that the package wasn't that heavy, considering having 2 long pipes and 2 intakes.
Tight fitting silicon hoses ensures air get sucked right into the engine without unwanted leaks. Hmm would be better if it came in their signature blue but I'll take this. Keeping the All Black theme alive!
Clamps hold the silicon hose and pipes in place. These were heavier than I expected. Read that these were made by Forge and not some chapalang outsourced place.
One of two carbon fibre intakes. Yummy.
One of two bent pipes. This comes with the slit to attach the MAF sensor.
This is how it will be placed, with one obtaining air from the front, and the other sucking air under the left fender to create that Darth Vader effect.
Whole product minus clamps. =) The front vacuum cleaner like thingy will replace the stock one made of plastic.
Blue filter peekaboo.
Love the carbon fibre bits. Gonna have a cloth specifically for cleaning the engine bay after this installation.
Side profile. Can't wait to install it!
Another quality product by Forge =)

Track Toy
Went down to Wearnes Automobile to have a look at the RenaultSport Megane RS.
Initial impressions
This is one car built for the track. Petrolheads will know that this car means serious business. Go fast bits such as yellow tachometer, full yellow bucket Recaros and yellow seat belts are extremely eye catching. Orangy red Brembos on the yellow test car shows that this car is meant to be seen. Michelin PS2 as stock?? They surely did not think twice giving this beast the best goodies in the business.
On the road
Ride was surprisingly comfortable. Suspension works its magic on bumpy tarmac. Although I must say that its not blistering fast on the straights, its around the bends where this car shine. All important LSD works to perfection providing optimal handling and assurance tothe driver when going round a corner at physics defying speeds. This engine has to be worked hard, Turbo spools at around 2000rpm. It might be a little sluggish when caught in the infamous Singapore peak hour traffic, but once the roads clear, this RenaultSport will put a smile on your face and it would be hard to wipe it off once you know how to handle its short shifting 6 spd manual transmission to perfection.
Comparing with rivals
For a car as niche as this, it will only appeal to car enthusiasts. When pitted with rivals such as the Ford Focus RS, it would lack outright horsepower (306 bhp to 247 bhp) but it will show Ford whose boss round the bends. I wouldn't compare this with the Golf R as they are impressive in their own ways. As an all rounder, the R wins hands down. For driving pleasure and raw performance, the French as the upper edge.

More photoshopping with a 3
Played around with Lightroom.
Works wonders.
3M sticker budget mod with 3M cf wrapping of front grill.
Silky smooth inline 6 found in most of the Beemer lineup.
Trademark Beemer edges with the roundish mk5 at the background.
Sedan sits lower than the hatch.
<3
Another random TCC trackday photo haha. Enshao's rabbit on the left with Shawn's custom blue 3dr GTi soaking up the moist Sepang tarmac. Awesome experience.

Photoshop fun
Dug up a couple of photos taken in Sepang.
Miss those times dearly.
Hope to head up north again when there's a chance.
Too much torque for the TCC sticker to handle?
Old school EG screams with its vTec.
Ever so lovely.
Rear Alcons. Must have cost a bomb. Love the signature slotted rotors.
k20A showing whose boss.
Pride of Japan leaving some semi slick rubber on Malaysian soil
We can admire him all day.

Gdbye, My Friend
Evo VIII MR rims. I won't forget time spent surfing to source for a deal as good as you. $380 for 17" original Enkei 6 spoke rims. Kepping the Oem look alive.
It was tinted until your 3rd year when you had to go for your mandatory check. My passion for blacked out machines started the moment I hopped into this booby trap.
Been having this view for 1 solid year. Love every second spent in this cockpit. Tachometer holding at 2300rpm at 0.8 bar. Concentrating on my drive, while keeping my peripheral vision on alert to see the other needle turning clockwise.
Went emblem crazy some time in 2008, but debadged most of them soon after.
Ever so reliable 4g63 hiding behind the recently installed top mounted intercooler. Found a buyer for the Fmic. Reverting back to stock is such a painful process. Thank you, 4g63, for performing to the best of your ability without skipping a beat. Dekitted Evo 8 MR cams as well a few days before letting that swishing Greddy Fmic go.
Milo tin Apexi N1 was on for half a year, and suffered from scraping this very curb a million times during that period.
Had so many plans for you, but we knew we had to let you go one of these days. Your knees were creaking, elbows swelling and veins suffering from wear and tear. I thought that you couldn't breathe as well as you could too.
You'll be sorely missed =(
But we're happy with the fuel sipping nature of this vdub now. =)
Shout AAHHH
Full titanium Akrapovic with 20" BBS LMs on a white E92 M3? What more can you ask for?
I know we want more.
