AMG doing its job
1000NM 670bhp V12 Twin-Turbo
This can't be a car
They just name it the Merc SL65 AMG Black
Super exaggerated flared wheel arches
Where is the Black
Spoiler raises automatically above 75mph, an indicator cops to issue a ticket
Looks like any other ordinary SL, until u scrutinize the CF bits
Electronically limited to 320Km/h.. who cares

Evo Xtasy
With the ChargeSpeed bodykit on this Evo X, this has to be one of the fiercest X around.
Intercooler piping peeking out of the front air vents reminds onlookers of the TD05 inside
Who needs the emblem when you know not many can pass you
This may look beng in Singapore, but i've seen businessmen in long sleeves and tie tearing roads in their rex/evo.

Tame monster
You see those striking daytime running LED lights at your rear windscreen, and you just think that its just another Audi A4. You take a glance again and realise its getting brighter, better, scarier. Before you know it, the RS6 emblem appears right in front of you. This tame looking monster can do the job if angered.
The rims and emblem gives it all away
No quads here, increasing the "obedient factor"
(Oneshift link)
"OEM" quads for the RS range, like this s5
None for the RS6.
Quote: " With up to 1.6 bar of boost pressure, these provide smooth, powerful thrust and an incomparable power band: The peak torque of 650 Nm is available from 1,500 to 6,250 rpm and thus nearly over the entire rev range. Peak power of 580 hp is generated between 6,250 rpm and the maximum figure of 6,700 rpm."
The power delivery will be so linear the driver wont even realise he's accumulated tons of speeding tickets. Peak torque over such a huge rev range is mind boggling.
Chipped up RS 6 vs M5
(More interested in the showcase of cars @ the 2nd half of the video lol)

Green with envy
Singaporean car enthusiasts can really get crazy over their rides. Once poisoned, he/she can't remove the venom so easily. Just take a look at this porsche gt3 inspired s2000. The s2000 has always been one of my favourite cars. In the roadster class, I feel beats more dominating siblings like the slk and z4, hands down in the aesthetics department.
Would definitely make heads turn

The s2000 revving up to her famous 9000 redline, right into the heart of the vtec zone.

Chipped up GTi
This MKV gti may look tame, but tuners have done a great job at keeping the exterior mostly untouched and raising the horsepower to 305! Not too sure if the front wheels can tahan the power. 0 - 100 in 5.5 sec is impressive.

S204
Super rare find in Singapore. If im not wrong, there are less than 8 left here. It eats plain jane rexs for breakfast. This is the real deal.
Titanium mufflers, 320 horses, 3.8 sec (according to fifth gear), 600 in the world.

Lexus IS C
Saw one at bugis junction car park, with chrome wedsport rims. It looks more sleek than fierce, which can be a good thing if car makers aim to attract young executives.

The Ford Focus RS is nth new, but we havent seen 1 in Singapore. Plenty of STs, but where is the real deal?
300 hp front wheel drive car.. hmm. anymore power and it would definitely struggle for traction.
Mean green machine
Love the Recaros

Looking Back @ some rubber burning
Some sideways action will take place at the Changi Exhibition Centre in a few hours. Before all these commence, let us take a look at quality pictures from last year's highly successful event.

Godzilla's little brother
I've always not been a huge fan of the Z33 (350Z) at stock form.
In car craze Singapore, your perceptions change because you'll hardly see performance cars not going under the knife. With a proper bodykit, it can turn this Fairlady into one menacing looking Dark Knight.
With the new 370Z, it surely sent heart rates soaring when it was featured in the main entrance of The Cathay a few months back. "Boomerang" looking head and tail lights enhances the aesthetics of this already fierce machine. No wall of texts here.. just admire this Beauty.
"Behind that new face is a brand new V6 engine. Known internally in Nissan as the VQ37VHR, the 3.7-litre unit is 35% new compared to the old engine when it comes to components. The V6 makes 333bhp and 363Nm worth of torque" - respectable numbers in stock form.
Auto version has the world's first "SynchroRev Match" No more heel toe when downshifting

Do we touch this gem?
Recently, VW's 1.4 TSI engine has been crowned the international engine of the year. This is no mean feat considering the stiff competition. The 1.4 engine pumps out between 140 to 170bhp with the aid of a supercharger and turbocharger, putting the performance of most 2 litre cars to shame. With peak torque arriving at amazingly low revs, city driving would be a pleasure. Its very frugal too. Power delivery is linear and u'll never be caught off boost like the big turbo Japs. This engine can be found on the MK VI Golf, sleek Scirocco, the huge boot Jetta and even the Touran. (VW Singapore)
One would have the itch for changes to his/her ride after years behind the same wheel. Be it a new paint job, adding huge alloys or even chipping up the ECU. Lets have a look at the data after a Stage 1 ECU remap done by APR.
Link
"Stage I ECU Upgrade give you higher peak numbers of 203 horsepower and 234lb-ft. of torque, gains of up to 41 horsepower and 58lb-ft. of torque are available at lower rpms!"
Impressive stats. But there is a reason why VW detuned their engine from the start. My guess is to maintain drivability for all consumers and to be extremely fuel efficient. APR is a world famous tuning company with huge reputation. However my take is not to tweak the International Engine of the Year at all cost. It's the best engine for a reason.
A thing of beauty
A work of art

Dubai - Supercar Territory
Singaporean car enthusiasts are deprived. They have the machine, but nowhere to operate them. Speed limits kept at 70km/h, traffic lights galore, peak hour jams and the ever present "cop on top" (traffic police with speed traps situated on the overhead bridge) are just some of the reasons why we cant exercise some right foot action. We can only dream of having straight uninterrupted roads here.
Nevertheless, lets have a look at roads in Dubai: automotive nirvana for petrolheads

Aesthetics wise, my vote goes to the Raging Bull.. but.. haii.. just let me try both.. hehe.

JDM Fun
People are so attracted to Japanese performance cars, partly may be due to the Endless (no pun intended) aftermarket parts, be it handling, aerodynamics, or performance mods. He can boost his ride up to a few bars, ultimately gaining insane horsepower to the wheels (WHP). He may prefer pimping up his ride with bodykits from brands like DAMD, J's Racing (Honda), Gialla etc.. Locals are usually unable to test the full potential of their modded rides, and they will tend to travel up North to Sepang International Circuit (SIC) to unleash their beast in a safe environment on track days.
Popular aftermarket parts:
Endless stopping power
Fujitsubo
A very powerful GReddy snail
Some of the most beautiful JDM cars on the planet.
Red hot Evo with Advan RS
Monster with Advan RG
Look at those rims =)
"Get me out of the show, i need to heat up the tarmac"
Simplitic design but she still bring the message across to road hoggers
Sweet combination
Pink panther or Pink Godzilla?
"i need this to breathe better, and most imptly, leave carbon on that Rex's windscreen"

"Who needs that V10 when a turbo does the job?"
